We have installed the Origin Ultimate Collection and the game runs without problems. Except for the locked The Sims Village (Don't worry, it still runs). There's no anti-cheat I know of that has a bug like this, so the hacked village must have been changed somehow. Probably someone built it without reading the manual, which contains a warning.
I was seeing on twitter about an issue with the Origin Ultimate Collection, and I tried the Origin reset tool and it seemed to work. But when I open it up and re-open the Origin launcher, I still see the old chat messages. So I took a dump of what's happening in the background and here's the gist. If anyone has any info on how to solve this issue, please reply.
1) Open up the Origin's Reset tool, and close it. 2) Open up the Origin Launcher. 3) It will ask to update the files. Click on No. 4) The reset tool corrupts your game's database. You should open it up and delete your game's cache files, and close Origin. 5) Open up Origin again. It may then request of you to check the game files. Click on Yes. 6) It will check, and then say "done updating". It should be running, then. 7) Open up the game, and click on Hello World. Enter your The Sims Home Address.
