I set out to hunt down elusive ogres and griffons, and soon encounter an occasional bandit or cutpurse. If I meet a settlement first, I can always request to become a citizen and listen to the town's prophecies before leaving again.
After a successful hunt, I can seek out the most dangerous enemy I have ever met -- after a while, I'm gaining experience with different kinds of ogres. Soon I set out to conquer their city. I loot it and leave, and now I can become whichever sort of ogre I like.
After moving to someplace unknown, I try to find other spirit walkers who I can talk to. It seems to mostly be random chance, so I can just wait around and hope to find some new people. The land is well-populated, with cities, nobles, bandits, and even a small outpost of demons. I can listen to any settlement's prophecies after I swap the appropriate coin from my purse. I usually wait a while before starting to explore, to let the dreams come.
